Chrome Tin Pink Sphene, purple pigment, is a synthetic colored mineral with chromic element or chromic and cobalt as the chromic element and SnO2 cassserite as the color carrier. It is the product of high temperature calcination. In the calcination process, chromium or chromium and cobalt and tin uniformly diffuse and react with each other to form a rutile crystal structure type of color. Its composition may contain boric acid, cobalt oxide. Suitable for oxidizing atmosphere firing, for color glaze and under-glaze decoration and enamel products.
