Cerulean Blue (PB35) For Painting, Coating And Glass

Cerulean Blue (PB35) pigment is an inorganic blue pigment synthesized through a high-temperature solid-phase reaction. It has a vivid color and extremely stable chemical properties. It presents a unique and deep blue tone, lying between the brightness of ultramarine and the stability of cobalt blue. The color is pure and has a high saturation. It is prepared by thoroughly mixing precise proportions of cobalt oxide, tin dioxide, magnesium oxide, etc., and then conducting a long-term calcination at a temperature range of 1200°C to 1300°C.

During this process, the various components undergo solid-phase reactions to form a blue pigment with a stable spinel structure. Depending on the specific formula and production process, a small amount of aluminum oxide, nickel oxide, etc. may also be added to optimize the particle size, dispersion, or hue of the pigment.
