It is estimated that China's traditional ceramic industry consumes about 250 million tons of various ceramic mineral raw materials each year, with 178 million pieces of sanitary ceramics, 27 billion daily ceramics (including arts and crafts ceramics) and ceramic products such as glass tile and siwa that are not included in the total.

In recent years, with the popularity of antique brick products, antique brick products are increasing in output, the proportion of ceramic brick products glazed products increased year by year, ceramic color glaze varieties, dosage are growing. Recently, the popularity of all-to-label glaze products, microcrystalline products and inkjet printing has not only increased the new color glaze varieties, but also greatly increased the amount of color glaze. Macro-level, China's 7,576 million square meters of ceramic brick output value of about 250 billion yuan, color glaze accounts for about 8 to 10% of the total output value, a rough estimate of China's ceramic brick color glaze output value of about 20 to 25 billion yuan, if covers sanitary ceramics, daily ceramics, China's ceramic glaze market total of about 30 billion yuan.

As Chinese ceramics have long been the world's largest producer and consumer country, ceramic glaze products are also the world's largest production and consumption of large stilettos, and is also the world's largest export country of color glaze. At present, China has a variety of color glaze production and manufacturing enterprises more than 2000, of which the scale of the enterprise of about 500, mainly in Foshan, Chaozhou and Shandong Zibo. Guangdong and Shandong provinces of color glaze enterprises accounted for more than 60% of the total number of color glaze enterprises in the country.
