Do you understand the use of organic pigments?

The use of organic pigments is to color a variety of substrates, in the coloring process, because of the nature of the substrate, the requirements of organic pigments are different. For example, coloring printing inks requires good transparency in organic pigments; Organic pigments are required to have good cover, and the application of organic pigments requires pigment treatment of organic pigments. Organic pigments are evenly dispersed in the application medium with small particles, and although the molecular structure of organic pigments plays an important role in its application performance, the physical properties of solid particles have a great impact on their application performance. The relationship between the particle size of the pigment and the light absorption coefficient is shown in the following image: the pigment's masking strength is related to the colorstrength and particle size:

At present, the methods of group pigment pigment pigment treatment in industry are: acid solution, acid swelling, ball grinding, kneading, solvent treatment and surfactant. Acid solution and acid expansion method are in the acidic medium to adjust the particle size of pigments, crystal and surface state: acid solution method: according to most pigments and inorganic acids (such as 98% sulfuric acid) at a lower temperature dissolved into salt in it, and then addwater dilution, along with the salt hydrolysis pigment re-generated insoluble particles and precipitated. During the extraction process, the addition of a specific surfactant or additive, or the control of certain factors (e.g. temperature), can be achieved to regulate the size of pigment particles.
