This pigment maintains its chemical and physical properties even when subjected to the extreme temperatures of the firing process. In the process of high-temperature calcination, Al3+, Cr3+, Fe3+, Fe2+ and Zn2+ are diffused in different proportions. The high temperature forms the spinel crystal structure. Its composition may include SiO2, mineralizing agent boric acid and other substances.
