How to use Masterbatch?

1. Masterbatch is composed of toner, carrier (resin) and additives.

2. The usage of masterbatch is not complicated. It can be mixed accord to the specified ratio and resin particles.

The use ratio of masterbatch:

To determine the proportion of master color is according to coloring effect. As long as the product surface color is uniform,there are no stripes and spots, it can be recognized OK.

The usage proportions of master color mainly are the following percentage: (masterbatch, resin)

1:100.It easily appears uneven pigment dispersion situation. We generally do not recommend customers to use this ratio.

1:50. This ratio is used for coloring the general plastic products. PE, PP, masterbatch are more widely take this proportion.

1:33～1:25. This ratio is used for ABS products or lower requirements of coloring.

1:20. This ratio is for high grade plastic products.It can be widely used in injection molding, blow molding and other processes.

1:20 or lower. This ratio can be generally used for high-grade cosmetic container coloring, it is more widely used with small injection molding machine.

The way to adjust Masterbatch

For example:

If to make a color masterbatch of 2% (1:50) for 10kg,that is 500 grams of masterbatch for every 25 kilograms of resin.Then 10kg masterbatch can meet the volume of 500kg resin masterbatch.

Firstly confirm the standard color, and then set the formula.Generally, it mixed one pigment for every 25 Kgs of resin.The color formula must be prepared in a small injection molding machine or in the granulation process in advance.It is better use customer's equipment to make the confirmed samples. Because in the process of granulation and other processes the pigment will cause slight chromatic aberration.If the total amount of pigment in this formula (25kg resin) is 100g,the production of 10kg masterbatch needs 100g pigment ×20 resin powder (500kg resin) = 2000g pigment.Then add 2000g pigment to 8kg carrier resin and additives together to granulate, then it becomes the masterbatch with 2% for 10kg.That is to say, 2000g pigment can produce 10kg masterbatch, and finally it needs 500kg resin with 2% masterbatch to make the product.

Formula:

1) 2KG pigment + 8KG resin =10KG masterbatch

2) 10KG masterbatch X 50 times resin +10KG masterbatch =510KG resin with 2% color
