The difference between organic and inorganic pigments

1. Organic pigments are colored organic compounds, also divided into natural and synthetic categories.

2. Nowadays, synthetic organic pigments are commonly used. There are many varieties of organic pigments and their colors are quite complete. Inorganic pigments are nonferrous oxides, or metallic salts that are insoluble in some metals.

3. Inorganic pigments are divided into natural inorganic pigments and artificial inorganic pigments, and natural inorganic pigments are mineral pigments. In addition to their different properties, organic pigments and inorganic pigments are also composed differently.

4. Organic pigments can be divided into single azo, double azo, lake, phthalocyanine or thick ring pigments and so on.

5. Inorganic pigments are mainly carbon black and metal oxides or salts such as iron, titanium, barium, zinc, cadmium and lead. Moreover, organic pigments have diverse structure, complete chromatography, bright and pure color, strong coloring power, but some products are light resistant, weather resistant, solvent resistant poor, high-grade organic pigments also have very good light resistant, weather resistant, solvent resistant, but the price is expensive. While inorganic pigments are fast in the sun, heat resistant, weather resistant, solvent resistant, strong hiding power, but not very complete chromatograms, low coloring power, poor color brightness, part of the metal salts and oxides toxicity.
